The goal of the Division of Student Housing is to provide students with a safe and intentional environment in which to grow, learn, change, and develop in accordance with their academic studies. The on-campus housing community’s desire is for students to learn more about what it means to be mature and engaged adults who are able to actively participate in the body of Christ, both on campus as well as in the world at large. Ultimately, it wants students to learn to love one another as believers, just as Christ calls us to live as He did. Living together in the residence halls provides students with a unique opportunity to live daily life together, gaining skills that will impact the way students live, communicate, and form relationships for the rest of their lives.
All single, full-time, first-year students under the age of 21 are required to live in the residence hall on campus or in their parent's home unless permission is granted by the Chief Student Development Officer.
Off-campus accommodation
Commuter life is unique in that most commuter students integrate their Emmanuel studies into an already fast-paced life. In this way, students can learn what it means to live a balanced life, to socialize when it is not always convenient, and to be intentional about community involvement.
